FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 
Can we bring small children to pottery painting?
Yes all ages are welcome. The glazes we use are non toxic and can be used safely by small children.
Can we take our pots home with us when we have finished painting them?
No not straight away as they need to be fired in the kiln to glaze them to make your painted design permanent and your pot waterproof. 
Your pots will be ready in a few days - it might be a bit longer in the winter months - and you can either pick them up from the Gallery or have them sent to you by post for an additional small charge to cover postage.
Do we need to book in advance for pottery painting?
It is not essential to book for small groups of people but parties of over five people would be advised to book to avoid disappointment especially during busy times like school holidays.
Is it necessary to book for painting classes?
Yes it is necessary to book if you want to join in a painting class. It may be possible to add an extra class at a different time if any regular class is oversubscribed.
Is it necessary to book for pottery classes?
Yes it is necessary to book for pottery classes. Space is limited and places are awarded on a first come first served basis.
You offer an experience on the pottery wheel. Do we need to book for this?
Yes it is essential to book an hour on the wheel as your clay needs to be prepared in advance and your experience has to be fitted around the painting and pottery classes so that you can have a short instruction to get you started.
Available times are usually on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Is the Cafe dog friendly?
You can bring your dog but the inside space is limited so you may have to stay outside if there are other people using the cafe that would prefer not to eat alongside your dog.
I have noticed that there is a trampoline on the lawn beside the car park. Can our children use it?
You can use the trampoline as long as it is vacant. It is an olympic grade trampoline with safety net and padding all round so extremely safe to use, however it is on the strict understanding that you do so at your own risk. The Gallery cannot be held responsible in the unlikely event of any injuries that may occur.
